How to Play Ride'em PokerThe Game Ride 'em Poker is a form of five-card Poker, similar to games played in casinos worldwide. Unlike in standard five-card Poker, where you are playing your hand against the dealer's or other player's hands, in Ride 'Em Poker you form one hand from the three cards you are dealt plus two "community cards." The better your hand, the bigger your winnings. You have the opportunity to adjust your bet twice during the hand by taking back part of your bet. The trick to winning is to take back most of your bet when you have a low hand and to "let it all ride" when you have a high hand! To play, you must first ante in. You may choose an ante amount between the table's minimum and maximum amounts. Take note though: the amount of your original bet is three times your ante! To indicate this, a chip appears in each of the three betting circles on the table. Then you receive three cards, dealt face up. The two community cards are dealt to the center of the table, face down. At this point, you must choose either to remove or to ride. If you remove, your bet is reduced by one third, and you take back this amount. The first chip disappears from the table. In either case, the first of the two community cards is turned face up. You now see four cards of your hand. Now you must decide whether to remove the second third of your bet, or to let it ride. You may remove the second third regardless of whether you removed the first third. If you remove, your bet is reduced by one third, and you take back this amount. The second chip disappears from the table. In either case, the second of the two community cards is turned face up, and you now see your full hand. Your score and the amount of your winnings are displayed. The table below shows the winning hands and their payoff multiples.
The payoff multiples above apply to your total bet at the end of the hand. So, if you remove some of your bet, you reduce your potential winnings. Ride 'em Poker is played with a standard deck of 52 cards (no jokers). The deck is shuffled before each hand. Starting the Game Once you have logged in to the casino, you may start a Ride 'Em Poker game by clicking on the Table Poker menu, selecting Ride 'Em Poker, then selecting a table. The menu gives you a choice of tables based on the minimum/maximum ante bet. You may also play for fun. Game Display The game display consists of a table on which the cards are displayed. There are three betting areas that correspond to your three ante bets. The following displays appear in a console at the bottom of the table:
Beneath these displays appears a row of buttons. The buttons and their functions are:
Placing a Bet Before you start a hand, you must set the ante amount. Buttons appear to the left and right of the ante amount for this purpose. Click a button to increase or decrease your ante amount. The ante amount is limited by the table minimum and maximum and by your available balance. Once you are satisfied with your bet, click the DEAL button to place your bet and start the hand. Playing the Game Based on the three cards that are dealt to you, you must decide whether to remove or ride. Click the REMOVE button to remove, or the RIDE button to ride. This is all you need to do. If you click on REMOVE, the game returns one third your original bet to your account balance immediately. After the first of the two community cards is shown to you, you must again decide whether to remove or ride. The procedure is the same. Scoring When the hand ends, any winnings you have received are displayed in the WIN box and added to your available credits. If you received a winning hand, then the type of the hand ("FULL HOUSE", for example) appears in the HAND display. Exiting the Game Click Exit to exit the game and return to the Casino Lobby. If a hand is in progress, please finish the hand before exiting the game.
